This game is kinda buggy - the click to choose boy or girl doesn't work as well as other imagemap issues.
It's automated! You can't change your gender. If you leave it alone, you'll notice the girl is selecting the options herself.
when I was playing I tried to choose one or the other via click. And nothing happened. I had to restart the game to get the process working again. This happened again when I started moving around to fight the first monster, clicking everywhere had no effect, and hitting enter did nothing either. It was as if the game was stuck.
